The Flathead River has picking up some steam the last few days. Fall is coming and there are some new bugs on the menu…. Ants in the heat of the day, some spinners in the am, few Caddis bouncing around, nocturnal goldens as shedding their exoskeletons and dead dragons on the water…. That’s pretty much a good bug report for any of the rivers in the area. Now is the time to switch out those flies that don’t work anymore and tie on some new stuff… Want some attacks? You know, the ones that eat that fly like they men it? Tie on the big bug and Maybe trail a small ant behind it? Or roll solo big bug? Are you a baller? Throw two small ants or if your skills are high…. throw a single ant?
