I am the originator of the Pat's brown rubber legs and started tying it in 1994 while at my cabin in Island Park while on leave from the army. I used it with great success in box canyon and throughout the henry's fork and madison river. After I retired from the army, i Began working for Hyde outfitters and they had the fly custom ordered through a company I would not like to name because they now think they started the pattern. I contracted with Solitude fly company and they now ty my pattern with the right color of legs and with my recipe. The first name on the fly given by some of my clients in box one day was the box canyon viagra, cuz it gets those rainbows up and jump in.

Incredible day with Rob on Monday! I finally learned how to catch and not just fish. I've never seen such beautiful trout -- I'm in awe of the cutties. Thanks for everything, Rob!

Uni Thread is not all that bad once you get used to splitting it. I find it easy to relax some of the tension on the thread and then it splits pretty easy. Ultimately it would be easier to use UTC but most everyone has UNI Thread on their tying desk.
