Missouri River

The Mighty Mo

The Mighty Mo is one of the best tailwater fisheries in the country, and is touted as Montana’s best dry fly fishery. The Missouri has one of the highest trout populations per mile in the state, providing the most exciting Rainbow Trout and Brown Trout angling available. Pound for pound these are among some of the strongest fighting trout we have encountered. This river is an excellent choice for spring, when the rest of the rivers are blown out from snow melt. We offer multi day trips on the Mo and will provide transportation from Whitefish if necessary. $469 for a full day of fishing.

Clark Fork

Clark Fork

Similar in character to a large spring creek, the Clark Fork winds its way westward through sandy cottonwood bottoms and low elevation pine forests. Some of Montana’s most famous trout rivers are tributaries to this large western freestone river. The Clark Fork is one of the most underrated trout rivers in Montana. Lakestream Outfitters concentrates its efforts on the lower river away from the crowds of Missoula. The Clark Fork is a large river that is best suited for fishing from a drift boat with opportunities to catch Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout and Cutthroat Trout. We love this river for it’s ability to deliver large trout on large dry flies. A full day is the best way to enjoy this river, $469 for a full day.

Scenic beauty, great trout habitat, and a variety of trout species all combine to make a fly fishing trip on the Blackfoot a memorable one.
